2011:2012 Dodge Charger SRT8

Power for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 comes from 6.4L HEMI V8 engine making an estimated 465-hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, including an estimated additional 80 lb-ft at 2,900 rpm. That allows the 2012 Charger SRT8 to go from 0-60 mph in the high 4-second range and to run the quarter mile in the high 12-second range. Estimated top speed comes in at 175 mph. Now those numbers might change, but Dodge says it will release the specific horsepower, torque and fuel economy numbers closer to launch date.
The engine is mated a W5A580 5-speed automatic with standard paddle-shifters, the first for a Chrysler Group LLC SRT product. The 2012 Charger SRT8 also features an advanced Fuel Saver (4-cylinder mode) technology with an active valve exhaust system  that allows engagement of a wider rpm range.
The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 will be produced at the Brampton Assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and will go on sale later this year. Prices will be announced closer to launch date.
